I use this app on my phone for recording interviews. I’ve used many recording devices and programs. This is a simplest, easiest to use, most reliable method that I have ever found. It has saved me more than once.

I’ve used this app for years and it works great if you use the phone itself to record and play back. Doesn’t work well at all when trying to use through iPods. For me it’s become a necessity to use them as I need to leave my phone in my pocket and record sports event plays verbally while shooting photography at the same time. It just doesn’t work effectively at all. Yes I’ve used all the advanced settings. It will not work well enough to rely on it for my job. I guess I’ll need to use a wired mic clipped to my shirt collar.

I am a very basic user(free version), minimally proficient with the editing and sound optimization features. Nonetheless, I am consistently impressed with this app and intend to learn more of it’s capabilities

I’ve been using this app for years and have watched it evolve and improve over time. I sincerely hope it remains available for years to come. The recording quality, at least in my experience using an iPhone, is outstanding. The app offers an extensive range of settings and customization options, making it a powerful tool for professional recording, editing, and more. Many reviews say, “Don’t look any further—get this one,” and I have to agree. Having experimented with smartphone recording since the iPhone 4, I’ve tried nearly every app out there, and none come close to what this one offers.

This app is like a Swiss Army knife free recording apps. It has so many features and everything works. Thank you developers for keeping it updated!

When I attempt to upload to onedrive, the file seems to process to the end, but then it’s “stuck” spinning. I am able to email files to myself and upload from the link

After using this app for years, it’s now become unreliable if I switch to another app and come back while on pause half the time the microphone won’t work when I resume recording, I just recently lost some valuable information thinking it was working. Tried reinstalling. But It’s the same issue on my iPhone 16. Looking at some other apps.

After years of using this app, it provides me with every feature I need. It is the total package. I love the wifi feature that lets me see my recordings represented on line to download directly to my computer. It was so easy and helped me save my family stories.

I am very glad I paid for the extra features; even though there are lots of them that I don’t use, I like being able to pay developers directly. Uploading to Google Drive is currently broken, which mostly Google’s fault (at least, judging by the rants I have read about Google’s OAUTH2 [but mostly other] choices on a developers list on a completely separate and unrelated project, and by my own investigation into this particular problem I have done about how this particular integration works), but while I acknowledge that, I’m not going to get Google to fix their part. ;-) I’ll try to put in a “developer support” message as well, but I wanted to publicly praise the app and give it five stars first. I have a workaround that probably will still work better then what I’ll be able to do when/if I can upload directly, because I kinda hate Google drive anyway….

Thank you very much for this great and practical app that is great with the lowest bug and error even in the free version and when I unfortunately I can't have an iPhone above 6, which you know then iOS 12 Not updated above, but this unique and without competing app working for me and I can only thank you.

I’ve had several voice recording apps and this one way out shines them all. There are some apps where the creator pours evident care into the app’s versatility, quality, usefulness. This is one such. Worth a purchase.

Totally epic

This app is useless! It never records when you needed to. And often times it runs like it’s recording, but then there’s no sound. Disappointing because this used to be a good app but not anymore.

I tried two or three other recording programs before this one, and Voice Record outshines them all. I don’t get shunted onto a page advertising other apps. The controls are easy to use. The sound was the best of all the apps I tried. I do have one question: what is the process for trimming unwanted material from the beginning or end of the recording? Thanks for a good program.

As many other users have stated, export no longer functions as google blocks the app due to trying to access sensitive information. The wifi transfer no longer works either. Useless.

I’ve been using this app for years with no problems. Five star review - until it suddenly stopped exporting to Google Drive. I made no changes to the settings.

I had high hopes for Voice Record Pro, but after multiple attempts to record a long 30-minute session, I’ve hit a massive deal-breaking bug. Every time I pause and resume a recording, the app completely kills the microphone. After the first pause, it no longer captures my voice—just dead silence—for the rest of the session. Why even offer a pause/resume function if it effectively disables the entire recording process? This isn’t just a minor glitch; it makes the app unusable for any serious recording. I wasted hours thinking I had recorded everything, only to find out the app had gone silent after a few minutes. Even after testing it multiple times, the problem persisted. I tried reinstalling and adjusting settings, but nothing fixed it. If you’re looking for reliability, especially for long recordings, avoid this app unless you enjoy wasting your time on ghost recordings.

I’m a singer/songwriter and have been using this app since 2018,,, I have HUNDREDS of songs and concepts recorded on here and I use this app EVERY SINGLE DAY!! It’s user friendly and there are TONS of options for editing, sorting, searching… etc. I’m not even using the app to its full potential and it’s so significant to my writing & recording process.

This app records fine but it picks up SO MUCH BACROUND NOISE and there is no way to edit that out or fix it unless you switch to low quality witch, at that point you might as well use your phone to record

I was looking g for a voice-activated recorder. This one works really well. And the transcription capability was a welcome surprise.

This app blows me away with all it does. Records, edits, converts, imports, exports, transcription. It’s very simple to use, intuitive navigation despite its advanced capabilities. Love it!

But this little app is hands down the best voice recorder i've ever known so i just had to say that. Fully customizable. I was simply looking for a easier way to share voice memos on my old iphone 5c to my macbook and found my new goto for recordings instead. Its like audacity with the many options of reaper and the fx of garageband. The ability to bulk transfer to computer via wifi download makes it the clear choice from now on. Simple tap to add a jump marker or make a note. It even has a reminder feature where you can set an alarm for a memo to play. They threw everything in here, and for free to boot. Wait, let me test one last thing. Yep, it allows recording while monitoring through garageband. I can do my singing takes and press the bookmark button to mark the best takes as i record before exporting to reaper. Merry christmas!!! Only one suggestion, a quick record option, to start recording without setting options. But dont do it for me, because i probably can't use any newer versions, im on ios 10. Thanks for allowing previous versions in a world that wants to update everything

I love this app, You can adjust the noise level threshold, preventing recording until a significant sound, such as human conversation, is detected. Paid for ad free version. Used mic. Randomly stops recording after pausing a couple of times: input meter stops bouncing while the app shows record is still on. Three times I recorded 30 minute segments only to find out that the second half of all recordings was distorted.

silent recording sometimesy - buggy! isually good. adv editing is buggy because it crashes. adv editing bad UI since the exit button is adjacent to cut btn. !

I can no longer edit the length of my recordings. That option is no longer available on my options list. What happened?

I use this to record audio for all my YouTube content. It's high quality, advanced interface, and allows for easy sharing with the download link option. Love it

This app is by far the greatest voice recorder app I have ever utilized!....and I have utilized quite a few! The ability to record for hours if needed and to utilize the repeat is essential for memorization! It has been extremely useful for me! I'm greatly appreciative for a product such as this! Great job! Highly recommend!

I thought it might have stopped working because my iPad was too old. Now I have a new iPad at iOS 18.1.1 and it still records NOTHING even if I am yelling into the mic. No setting have been changed and rebooting doesn't fix it. HELP!!! No one answers my request for help here or in feedback. Disappointing!! I expected better from you.

Great app but when I go to renaming notes I just would like an option to make the font size latger because its hard to see for some of us. The speak to text option works sometimes and that helps. Thanks

I admit I am using my plaud ai most of the time now but if you don't want to from $250 for a device and sub( I did and think its worth it) this app is the king of voice recorders and I'll always keep it on my phone.

This app has been a great asset to me for easy access and recording. I’ve used it to capture voice over and natsot audio for radio production as well as capturing audio for audio download websites. It’s simplicity allows me to share it with clients and newbies so they can record their audio remotely and then send it to me. Highly recommend for a variety of uses.

I’ve used this app for years now and I’m still completely blown away with its quality, rich functionality. It’s the best thing after using a Zoom or a Tascam recorder. I use this app with wireless mics as well as with only internal iPhone mic. Never failed me! Thank you!

I consistently uploaded my recordings to G-Drive until yesterday. Now Google says that Voice Record Pro is “attempting to access sensitive information” and has blocked VRP. Otherwise, VRP is the best free app available!

Can no longer upload recordings to Google Drive. Google says this app js blocked because it tried to access sensitive data. There's nothing the user can do to fix if. The developer needs to address this.

Google has blocked VRP for security reasons, so backing up to Google Drive does not work. Feedback and support messages crashes the app. When will these issues be resolved? Once the issues are resolved, I will change this review to 5 Stars, but until then, the app is rendered useless. Please fix!

I got the free version and it worked so well, I decided it was worth buying. 5 years later I am still using it for everything from class work to recording car problem noises.

Well, my honey’s in the hospital and I do voiceover. This full-featured, wonderful app has turned my car in the hospital parking lot into my studio, just when I needed that most!

I’ve tried many recorders and the App Store and this one for sure has the ultimate features just amazing how many features this tool has it’s free to use or you can contribute nine dollars for a fully paid version that gets you no ads highly recommended this app
